The Anvil Mk4 is the proudest I have been with any of my machine designs.
Coming in either Brass or lightweight aluminium they Weigh 130g (4.58oz) and 82g (2.89oz) respectively so are over 10% lighter than previous models.
On top of that it is also over 10% shorter in length meaning the reduced weight is also more forward and over the hand making it feel lighter again and even more comfortable to use.
Due to changing the location the hit at the bottom of the stroke is also deeper in tone now making it more pleasurable to use whilst still giving a superb audio feedback whilst tattooing. There is some vibration of course, as with all machines with hit, but this again, I truly believe, is now at such an acceptable level that it will not disappoint any users of this machine
A big factor in achieving all this is down to working closely with my motor manufacturer to produce a shorter motor that produces more torque at lower voltage. The low vibration is without doubt aided by the new higher end quality preloaded ball bearings internally at the front and back end of the motor making them extremely smooth running.
Anyone who has used earlier models of the compact all rounder Anvils will know how versatile these machines are and for all of you who do have previous models I’m sure you’d appreciate all the improvements this new model offers. It’s even more surprisingly smaller in size to past models and equally as surprising in power. It really is the easiest machine to quickly get comfortable in using.
As usual and as with all my machines this Anvil Mk4 is an out of the box plug and play machine that requires no tuning or servicing and is equally happy running Cartridges as it is with Standard needles.
The Anvil MK4 now has two elastic band posts, one each side of the machine, half way down its body so that there is no trickery needed to place the elastic band directly around the needle. I have also lengthened the parallels each side of the machine so the elastic band can be placed exactly where you want it without worrying about it slipping or moving whilst tattooing.
The Anvil Mk4 will be available right now in Clip Cord or RCA versions and will come in either a 5.0mm Stroke, 4.2mm stroke or 3.5mm Stroke. I will hand engrave the stroke underneath each machine so you’ll easily know which stroke you are using for those of you with more than one Anvil Mk4 in your line-up. My aim is to give you plenty of customisable options and all machine options will also be available in a multitude of colour choices, from a drop down menus on the order page.
I have learned a lot over the years with Anvil and have put all the knowledge gained in to this model to tweak everything I can to make the overall build quality of the Anvil Mk4 so much better than previous versions. For this reason I am confident in offering an extended full two year wear and tear warranty on parts and labour from the date you receive it.
The Anvil (Still by far my best selling machine) holds a special place in my heart as it was the first serious high volume machine I produced and offered to you guys. For this reason I always give this machine my utmost respect and attention when I design new models and I think that shows in abundance on the Anvil Mk4.
I hope this explanation goes some way towards giving this machine the description it deserves and that it will appeal equally to existing and new Anvil customers alike.
Thanks for looking and reading and for the continued support over the years in what has become a very competitive market.
All the best.
Jordan.
