The ANVIL NG2 is the next evolution of the platform and the most refined version of the SnapFlex™ system to date.
Over the last year, every moving part on the machine has been redesigned with one goal in mind:
create a machine that responds faster, runs smoother, vibrates less, and feels more controlled in the hand while maintaining the snappy, punchy feel the platform is known for.
The result is a machine that feels noticeably faster, cleaner and more efficient throughout the entire stroke cycle.
The SnapFlex™ System (PATENT-PENDING)
At the core of the NG2 is our patent-pending SnapFlex™ system. Unlike traditional rotary systems, the NG2 uses an advanced dual armature design engineered to physically accelerate the downstroke while maintaining a forgiving mechanical give during impact.
This creates a unique balance of speed, power and control that simply cannot be achieved through a standard rigid drive system.
✔ Accelerated Downstroke for Faster Needle Penetration
The SnapFlex™ system is designed to rapidly accelerate the moving assembly during the downstroke, dramatically increasing the speed at which the needle tips enter the skin.
The result is:
• cleaner, more effortless lining
• improved efficiency at the needle tip
• less drag through the skin
• a sharper, snappier hit
• improved performance at higher hand speeds
This is why the NG2 feels significantly faster and more responsive than a traditional machine with a similar stroke length.
✔ Completely Redesigned Dynamic Assembly
The NG2 features a fully redesigned dual armature system with massively reduced reciprocating mass throughout the moving assembly.
Both armature bars have been completely reshaped and re engineered using lighter dynamic geometry to reduce inertia and improve mechanical efficiency throughout the cycle.
For the artist, this means:
• faster response characteristics
• quicker recovery between hits
• less sluggishness in the system
• smoother operation under load
• more direct energy transfer into needle movement
The machine simply reacts faster and wastes less energy moving the mechanism itself around.
✔ Rebalanced Cam Dynamics for Reduced Vibration
The cam system has also been reworked and rebalanced to reduce vibration throughout the machine.
By refining the weight distribution and moving dynamics of the system, the NG2 feels noticeably smoother and more controlled in the hand, especially during longer sessions or high speed work.
Less vibration means:
• reduced hand fatigue
• improved control
• cleaner tracking
• a more stable feeling machine overall
✔ Mechanical Give Inspired by Traditional Coil Machines
The secondary armature section provides a controlled mechanical give during impact, creating a more forgiving and responsive feel similar to what many artists appreciate from traditional coil machines.
This allows the machine to absorb load more naturally under pressure while helping reduce the risk of overworking the skin.
The result is a machine that still feels punchy and responsive, but with far more control and forgiveness throughout the hit.
✔ 4.8mm Stroke Length – Beyond What the Number Suggests
The NG2 features a 4.8mm stroke length, but stroke length alone does not define how a machine performs.
Thanks to the SnapFlex™ system and accelerated moving assembly, the NG2 delivers a level of speed, responsiveness and impact that far exceeds what most artists would expect from a traditional 4.8mm setup.
